King of Forks

The King of Forks dons his mystical dinner jacket of flames -- a slightly psychedelic, sartorial homage to Escoffier, and to other things precious and French. His left hand wields the cork -- symbol of his spirit familiar, without which no evening meal would be even remotely plausible. What will he order this fine evening? Not even he knows, as clouds of mystery shrouding the plate and fork suggest. It will depend on weather, season, region and mood. But the pairings will always be delicious.

Meaning: Consideration, local knowledge.

Reversed: Uncomfortable fussiness.
